Ensuring a smooth sign-up process for our hikes is key to everyone's enjoyment. Follow these steps to secure your spot:
Evaluate the Details:
After selecting a hike from the Events tab on our Facebook page, make sure the event is a good fit by evaluating your physical fitness levels against the listed mileage and terrain details.
Check Capacity:
Members can RSVP if the maximum capacity hasn't yet been reached. For capacity information, check the event details and the “Going” list. (Note: We use the honor system around here!)
RSVP "Going":
To secure your spot, simply select "Going" on the event page. This indicates that you've checked your schedule and are totally committed to attending.
Mark Your Calendar :
Last-minute changes and no-shows impact fellow members' experiences. Your commitment helps us plan effectively and ensures everyone has the opportunity to participate. (We have a two-strike policy for no-shows. Read more here.)
Get Out There!
When you arrive at the trailhead, the hike leader will greet you and ask you to sign in to our attendance book to track your progress in the Incentive Program.
Note: Special events may have a separate RSVP system, which will be indicated in the Event Details section.
-
Fear not! Our current attendance policy states that hikers who change their RSVP status before the start of the hike will avoid penalties. However, we ask for a 48-hour notice as a courtesy to other members hoping to secure a spot.
Our membership coordinator will evaluate emergency cancelations on a case-by-case basis.
